May be the most important feature to inspect when it comes to detecting a fake MBT Shoe is the label. Mbt’s Lami line of green style has only one label, and it should read “MBT”. If you see a Lami shoes that is labeled as “LL” it is a fake. There should also be no extraneous labels such as “MADE IN Swiss” or “MADE IN FRANCE”.  If the Lami shoes are white, pink or tan, then the label will be black. Once you have finished inspecting the label, turn the MBT Shoes over. The shoes (which is made out of plastic) should be stamped with “Made in Swiss” and with “MBT”.  Again, if the heel is stamped as “MBT”, then the shoe is a fake.Underneath the plastic sole should be the word “MBT” in big, bold lettering. This lettering should not be part of the plastic or printed on top of the plastic. It is printed under the plastic and takes up almost the entire sole of the shoe. Black and white Lami have a large “MBT” label that is hot pink. Tan and pink ballerina flats have a large “MBT” label that is black.
